One Year Older. One Year Wiser.

Waking Windows is back for a third year! We've got more bands, writers, artists, DJs, comedians, thinkers, and performers of all stripes. Two nights. 17 venues. Over a hundred different sets and events.

From the 14-piece Italian pop orchestra Tredici Bacci and rapper/producer/soon-to-be Ivy league PhD Sammus, to globe-trotting performance artist Chani Bockwinkel's Justin Beiber Ted Talk and the luminous presence of arts-theater-performance collectives New Fruit and Lorem Ipsum, to a vintage synth petting zoo and a immersive virtual reality tours of Congress St... We'd like to think this year's Waking Windows has something for everyone.

Friday, we're in Bayside with events at Bayside Bowl (downstairs & the rooftop!), The Apohadion Theater, and Fork Food Lab.  There will be an after-party with the O/S/O/S DJ crew at SPACE Gallery and an after-after party at [venue name redacted].

Saturday, we'll be back home on Congress St all day long, spread across SPACE Gallery, State Theatre, Tandem, One Longfellow Square, Blue, Empire, Congress Square Park, Local Sprouts, Etain, Jewel Box, Portland Museum of Art,  Flea-For-AllMaine Ballroom Dance, and The Art Department.  We're particularly excited for our Saturday special events, like the Page Burner 'lit-crawl'-style reading series, Portland Record Fair, No Chill Comedy with McQueen Adams (of Funny or Die and Comedy Central), and our unmoderated conversations with Samuel James and Milo, and Sammus and Dr. Leroy Rowe of USM.

We're happy to be able to keep some of the venues free with the help of our generous sponsors. Most events are all ages, but some are age-restricted, so take note as you look through the schedule.

We're too excited for words. We'll see you soon. Back to work...

all the best,
Waking Windows
